Baby Countdown Continues

Just for those who are curious, there are no imminent signs of a baby coming this weekend. Everything is just fine. Baby is still measuring just a little big with a good, strong heart beat. The only slight concern is my blood pressure has significantly gone up in the last two weeks (two weeks ago it was 118/68, now it's 142/88). But we'll just watch it the next week and see what happens. I have an appointment next Friday, the due date, and if there is no baby here at that point, then my doctor says, "We'll make a plan."

In the meantime, Judith and I ran some errands today to pick up odds and ends (including a new diaper bag after I determined the old one has more rips and holes than I realized!). We also had a nice Costco food court lunch, which always makes her happy. We split a hot dog, and she had a berry smoothie and we split a frozen yogurt cup. Robert plans to take her out to lunch a few times and do some special stuff with her when baby comes, but I figure that I'll be incapacitated for such things for at least a few weeks - so some Mommy/Daughter time right now is a good thing.
