Quick Update

Today was a regular doctor's appointment for me. Unfortunately, Robert mentioned it on the phone this morning when Aunt Katie called, getting Judith very concerned that "going to the doctor" meant that she was getting a shot! Telling her that was not the case did not truly alleviate her fears until after the appointment was over, and indeed, she did not get a shot!

All is well! Baby is good with a strong heartbeat, blood pressure and weight are good, and all seems to be going well. We'll go back in four more weeks for another appointment, and then the glucose test (yucky!) will be one week after that.

Aside from that, all is good with us. It's been a bit of a hard week - Robert was sick for several days. Unfortunately, those were the same days I was out early in the morning and late at night with several diocesan events (Catholic Schools Week Mass, Bishop's Fireside Chat and the Annual Vocations Mass). When you're not feeling well, keeping up, even verbally, with a 2 1/2 year old is a very tough challenge. But they both made it through and now Robert is feeling much better.

While they were spending their time together, Judith did start reading a book of hers to Robert. It is adorable! We video taped it last night, and Robert will get that video ready for posting hopefully this weekend. So you can look forward to that.

BTW - If Alison reads this, can you send me an email with your email address? With us having lost all of ours, yours is one I just cannot find in a printed format around here! Thanks! And have a great time on your IKEA shopping for nursery stuff! You're going to have a blast!
