Well, we're now totally annoyed with the whole cold season thing. Robert really was over his cough last Saturday. Sunday, both kids had coughs, but were otherwise OK. Yesterday they went to Busy Bees, and then I had to go get Gregory at 11:30. He had a lot of yellow discharge out of both eyes.
So he came with me to the office for a bit, then we picked up Judith, and headed off to the doctor. He'll need eye drops for five days (this is sounding familiar to me...), but otherwise, they both are OK. The doctor listened to their coughs, and they sound terrible, but there is nothing wrong in their chests, or throats or ears. The appointment was for Gregory, but Judith has been coughing so hard as to give herself patina bruising around the eyes, so the doctor wanted to give her a quick check, too.
Then this morning, I woke up early, unable to sleep with a very sore throat and lots of congestion. Gregory can't go back to Busy Bees until tomorrow so he and I are home sick together today. Really, I am so ready for the whole family to be healthy for more than 24 hours!
Anyway, we hope your transition to spring is going better. Gregory did get another weight check at the doctor. As a reminder, about 10 days ago he was 20 pounds, 11 ounces. Now he's 21 pounds, 13 ounces! When Robert picks him up and says, "You feel heavier each and every day!", he's really onto something. So now it's time for new car seats - because the infant carrier only works until 22 pounds - which at this rate should be about noon tomorrow :-). Oh well.
Have a great St. Patrick's Day!

Oh man. I feel your pain. Will got pinkeye right after KG but the doctor decided his was viral b/c he also had a cold. So no antibiotic eye drops for him. I was both happy (to avoid the horror that is giving a toddler eye drops) and annoyed (b/c, seriously, I've got two kids with pinkeye at the same time and you're telling me one is bacterial and the other is viral?).
And hey, we moved Will over to the convertible car seat at 6 months - so you got an extra three months of use out of your carrier! Will has slowed way down in the weight area, tho, he's only about 26 lbs now.
