Happy Easter to one and all! Christ is risen! (He is risen indeed!)We're having a fun Easter weekend with a special visit from Uncle John and Aunt Karen. Judith is having a fabulous time with her aunt and uncle, and it means a lot fewer requests for Mommy and Daddy to hold Judith. Here's a photo of Judith having fun playing with her godparents, and then a video of Judith having a great time dying eggs with her aunt.
One color was never enough - each egg had to go in more than once. The basic criterion for choosing the first (or second, or third) color was whichever cup that was within reach and had some free space in it. Judith also had little use for the little wire egg dipper - why bother, when she has two perfectly good hands! Fortunately Mommy had the foresight to put down a paint dropcloth down on the table, along with some newsprint, to catch all the splashes. Today the eggs were turned into deviled eggs, which Judith enjoyed, along with some cucumber sandwiches, almond cake, and of course some Easter candy (the Easter bunny brought her favorite M&Ms, plus enough other candy to keep all of us busy through the entire 50 days of Easter - maybe even through Halloween...)
Of course we started our day off with church, and Aunt Karen and Uncle John were nice enough to take our annual family picture for us.After Judith's nap we'll have some time at the park, a nice dinner, and some art time with the glitter pens that the Easter Bunny also sent along in the basket.
